DescriptionAt Lufa Farms, we’re on a mission to create a better food system, and a huge part of this is achieved by growing food where people live, and growing it responsibly. To do this, we built the world’s first commercial rooftop greenhouse and partnered with hundreds of local farms and food makers to assemble and deliver thousands of customized baskets filled with fresh, local, responsible food to our customers across Quebec every week. To keep our distribution centre running smoothly, we need a Reception and Inventory Supervisor.The Reception and Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the management of stock (including deliveries, put-aways, and quality assurance of product) to ensure smooth operation of order preparation in our Distribution Centre. They are also responsible for the management of the reception team.Responsibilities•Supervise and lead the reception team; •Spot check receptions daily;•Work in conjunction with all other departments in the company;•Monitor inventory, ensure that all products are available for picking;•Manage the amount of high-velocity products and ensure that the locations are sufficiently stocked;•Resolve all inventory discrepancy issues in a timely manner;•Control the rotation of inventory and maintain cold chain at all times;•Analyze the need for off-site storage and transfers of stock;•Be in direct contact with purchasers regarding quality or delivery issues;•Assess temperature and quality of all deliveries;•Refuse all sub-standard or damaged goods;•Ensure that safety standards are met at all times;•Complete all reports, checklists, and any other documents required of you;•Participate in interdepartmental meetings;•Monitor productivity of team members;•Develop your team through 1-1s, coaching, mentoring and providing feedback.Requirements•Experience in team management, with the ability to grow and develop members through coaching, 1-1s, and continuous training;•Ability to set clear expectations, establish operational standards, and enforce rules;•Provide constructive feedback, positive reinforcement, and maintain a strong work ethic;•Strong oral and written communication skills;•Ability to conduct root cause analysis, identify issues, and implement effective solutions;•Highly organized, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines, with the ability to act rationally under pressure;•Strong logistical and organizational skills, with a strategic mindset focused on continuous improvement;•Critical thinker, always seeking better ways to do things;•Ability to establish and maintain high operational standards;•Flexibility, attention to detail, and respect for products and deadlines.Assets•Experience in the fields of agriculture or food production;•Experience in management;•University diploma;•Genuine interest in Lufa Farms, our mission, and business model.Schedule•35 hours per week.Compensation & benefits:•Salary to be determined based on the candidate’s experience and knowledge;•You’ll be eligible to participate in the firm’s health insurance, dental and disability programs after completion of the probationary period (paid 50% by the employee and 50% by Lufa Farms);•Access to TELUS Health Virtual Care (direct contact to health professionals by phone, video, or chat) and the Employee and Family Assistance Program (professional, short-term counselling, covering a broad range of interpersonal issues);•30% discount on your Lufa Farms basket.

Responsibilities
•
