DescriptionAt Lufa Farms, we’re on a mission to create a better food system by growing food where people live and growing it more sustainably. To do this, we built the world’s first commercial rooftop greenhouse and partner with hundreds of local farms and food makers to offer fresh, local, responsible food to our customers through our online Marketplace. With new promotional projects requiring structured management, we’re looking for a motivated individual to become our Product Development Assistant.Reporting to the Head of Product Development, the Product Development Assistant is responsible for preparing and updating various files, creating product documents, assembling information, reports, and tables. They work closely with suppliers to follow up on information and samples, and actively participate in various department-related projects while respecting established deadlines.Responsibilities•Prepare complete documentation containing all necessary information to assess product developments;•Update weekly reports related to product development;•Extract and analyze specific data in order to build business cases and update relevant documentation;•Conduct research using various search engines;•Follow up with suppliers to obtain the required information and samples for development projects;•Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and gaps;•Prepare administrative documents needed for the operational management of product development;•Participate in strategic meetings to gain a deeper understanding of development goals and priorities;•Manage ongoing project follow-ups and document supplier performance.Requirements•Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field, along with relevant experience;•Three years of experience in marketing or a purchasing-related role;•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Suite;•Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written;•Strong analytical, organizational, and structuring skills;•Excellent priority management, initiative, autonomy, and attention to detail;•Ability to solve problems efficiently.Assets•Foodie with a passion for sustainable, local, and high-quality food;•Experience with online search tools and product recommendation software;•Knowledge of web, mobile, and application merchandizing.Schedule•Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm;•Note: This position requires flexibility to occasionally work outside normal office hours, as needed.Compensation & Benefits:•Salary to be determined based on experience and knowledge of the candidate;•Reimbursement of cell phone expenses up to 60% of the monthly amount (capped at $60 per month);•You’ll be eligible to participate in the firm’s health insurance, dental, and disability programs after completion of the probationary period (paid 50% by the employee and 50% by Lufa Farms);•Access to TELUS Health Virtual Care (direct contact to health professionals by phone, video, or chat) and the Employee and Family Assistance Program (professional, short-term counselling, covering a broad range of interpersonal issues);•30% discount on your Lufa Farms basket.
