DescriptionAt Lufa Farms, we’re on a mission to create a better food system by growing food where people live and growing it more sustainably. To do this, we built the world’s first commercial rooftop greenhouse and partner with hundreds of local farms and food makers to offer fresh, local, responsible food to our customers across Quebec. To continue changing the way people in cities around the world eat, we’re looking for a meticulous, organized, and trustworthy negotiator.The Lufa Farms Procurement Coordinator is responsible for the negotiation and administration of all commercial contracts and every purchase made by each department (corporate, greenhouse, warehouse, etc.). They’ll report to the Vice President of Operations and work in conjunction with various departments and conduct independent research to ensure that all services and equipment needed for operations are being supplied at the best cost for the company and its long-term interest. Ultimately, their goal is to approach sourcing quality products that cater to the entire company’s needs with a cost-conscious attitude while respecting the environment.Responsibilities•Create a master list of inventory and supplies, ensuring the information is up-to-date and accessible;•Verify purchase requisitions, recommending alternatives as needed;•Forward available inventory items by verifying stock and scheduling deliveries;•Hunt for products and prices with different suppliers;•Obtain recommendations from suppliers for substitute items and get approval from the requisitioning department;•Create purchase orders and obtain purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers, monitoring, and expediting orders;•Validate shipment reception and resolve shipment errors with suppliers;•Check inventory and compare items received to items ordered;•Authorize payment for purchases through coordination with the accounting department;•Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends;•Negotiate favourable prices and contract terms and conditions.Requirements•A high school diploma;•Great negotiator;•Trustworthy;•Organized;•Meticulous;•Able to handle confidential information;•Responsible and reliable;•Proficient with computers (Google Drive, Excel, etc);•Bilingual.Assets•DEC or Bachelor’s degree;•Prior experience with legal or sales agreements;•Working knowledge of standard legal terms and conditions.Schedule•Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (40-45 hours per week).Benefits•Salary to be determined based on the experience and knowledge of the candidate; •You’ll be eligible to participate in the firm’s health insurance, dental and disability programs after completion of the probationary period (paid 50% by the employee and 50% by Lufa Farms);•Access to TELUS Health Virtual Care (direct contact to health professionals by phone, video, or chat) and the Employee and Family Assistance Program (professional, short-term counselling, covering a broad range of interpersonal issues);•30% discount on your Lufa Farms basket.
