Description
At Lufa Farms, we’re on a mission to build a better food system by growing food where people live and growing it responsibly. To do this, we built the world’s first commercial rooftop greenhouse and partner with hundreds of local farms and food makers, to assemble and deliver thousands of customized baskets filled with fresh, local, responsible food to our customers across Quebec every week. With new projects constantly on the horizon, we’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Corporate Development Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in identifying and executing growth opportunities, partnerships, and strategic initiatives that align with Lufa Farms' mission and business objectives. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, business development acumen, and excellent project management skills.
Responsibilities
Strategic planning: Develop and execute corporate development strategies that support the company's growth and expansion goals;
Business development: Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and joint ventures;
Market analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas;
Financial analysis: Assess the financial viability of potential projects, partnerships, and acquisitions, including financial modelling and due diligence;
Project management: Lead and manage cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and successful implementation;
Relationship building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, investors, and industry leaders;
Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations on strategic initiatives, market insights, and business development activities to senior management.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus;
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate development, business development, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field;
Skills:
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills;
Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills;
Proven track record in managing and executing complex projects;
Exceptional communication and presentation skills;
Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders;
Strong understanding of the agriculture or food industry is a plus.

Compensation & benefits:
Salary to be determined based on experience and knowledge of the candidate;
